A detached house in Highgate with a hipped roof provided a complex opportunity to develop an additional loft “floor” within the existing roof. In view of the Conservation Area status, close to Highgate School, traditional lead-clad dormer windows were introduced to a new master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The project has yet to be realized due to the market uncertainties introduced by the Brexit vote, however it was estimated a £100,000
investment should yield a gross added value of circa £500,000 at pre-Brexit values.
