At the height of the Banking Crisis in 2012, Chris Roche decided to take a year out from Architecture and invest his time and money in Property Development. He refurbished and extended an Edwardian semi-detached house in North London into a 4 bed-roomed family home with new 6 person office within the roof space. In the process he made £500,000 profit and published a book. He has since given a series of talks to architects and recent graduates at Westminster University. The book is intended for both home owners and seasoned developers, and looks at how good design can lead to enhanced profit and reduced cost. The book can be downloaded from Amazon via the link:
